Damietta Petroleum Gases Company
Damietta Gas Plant
Damietta Gas Plant is one of Egypt’s leading industrial facilities in the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) sector. Established in 2006 under the leadership of Dr. Mohamed Saad El-Din, Chairman of Saad El-Din Group, the plant was developed to support the national energy supply chain and ensure the reliable distribution of LPG cylinders across the Egyptian market.
Since its establishment, the plant has undergone continuous development and expansion. The facility initially operated with a production capacity of approximately 10,000 LPG cylinders per day. Through ongoing investment in infrastructure and technology, the plant’s capacity has increased to approximately 30,000 cylinders per day, with further expansion plans designed to meet the growing demand in the domestic market.
Strategically located in Damietta and built on an area of approximately 20,000 square meters, the plant plays a vital role in supplying LPG cylinders to several governorates in the Nile Delta region, contributing to the stability and efficiency of the local energy supply.
Beyond its industrial role, Damietta Gas Plant contributes to economic and social development by creating direct employment opportunities for hundreds of workers, in addition to supporting numerous indirect jobs across transportation, logistics, and distribution networks.
